| Review: | After 9 professioanl moves, it was a major disappointment using this company. The price quoted ended up double the expected price and I ended up with a 5% credit card surchage since I did not have sufficient cash to cover the add ons. Like a prior reviewer, I spent an hour describing all of my contents but they sent over a truck that was too small which added 2 hours to the bill. The packing materials which seemed minimal ended up at over $1100. I had actually packed 90% of the items myself. There were multiple items damaged and I will find out shortly if they will be reimbursed. The agreed storage charge was doubled as well and my goods were held hostage on the truck until I paid. All of my furniture and clothing smelled musty and smokey even though I paid a high price for the shrink wrap to prevent that. The boxes were crushed, punctured and damp indicating to me that they were just thrown about and not treated properly. All of my garment boxed were broken and the clothes in heaps on the bottom.
One of the employees was extremely rude and unprofessional - Eric. The rep- Jay that provided the quote initially was conveniently unavailable when I needed his confirmation on the storage charges.
I strongly caution anyone that is considering using this company for a move. I intend to contact the Better Business Bureau if they do not reimburse the damages!!! |
