| Review: | besides the disasterous move with these folks back in april of 08, the owner promissed compensation to us in an email letter dated july 21, and assured we would have be the end of the week. This begin after we forwarded photos and claim forms more than 3 times as they claimed they never recived. To date we have never recieved compensation for the damaged goods. And as of last friday the owner now has reneged and told me in an email that they are now refusing to compensate us. Copies of all correspondences are now forwarded to the BBB. MOVERS BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE |

yes we did move these people and I can tell you one thing, it was a true nightmare on our end due to the absolute lack of honesty with the clients and their inventory. I have been in the industry for a long time and can tell you that an inventory list is only as good as the client conveys to us. We were scheduled to pick up a little over 8,000 lbs. as per the clients inventory given to us signed by them. A day or so prior to the pick-up they called to add a few items, a toold chest and 2 other items. I sent a 26 foot truck that could easily accomodate the scheduled 8,000 lbs. and comfortably fit an additional 3,000 lbs. if neccessary and that would be if they left ALOT of items off their original inventory list. Well, the driver got there and called me to alert me that they were WAY over their estimated inventory and there was no way they could fit the enitre shipment on one truck. At that point the client Cara began calling and verbally abusing both myself and just about everybody else in my office every hour or so. I had to route an additional truck to their residence and when the final weight came in it was almost 24,000 lbs. that is a little more than their estimated 8,000 lbs. We did the move and when we arrived at their destination the driver were met with a driveway that was literally so steep that a car could barely make it up the driveway let alone a full 26 foot moving truck. Our only option would be to rent a pick-up truck and place a few pieces on it and make about 1,000 trips up and down the driveway which would certainly cost additional for the truck rental and much more labor. The client Kirk said to the crew chief " if you waive the shuttle and labor fee I will waive any potential damages that may be incurred due to you having to individually walk each and every piece up the driveway" which was long windy and very steep. He also signed that on the bill of lading. I can tell you this much, after all was said and done we and the driver wound up losing money. They had to pay 10 additional people labor to help carry the pieces up the driveway and bring an additional truck. People often think that if they underestimate their inventory or are just not candid with what is being moved that it really does not matter. We are professional and do so many moves for so many happy people and return customers and referals and we just can't please everyone. |
