| Review: | We got scammed by Discover Moving. Quoted us a price around $6000, loaded the truck and then demanded $15,000 or they would take our stuff and put it in storage. Cops had to come just to stop them from driving away with our stuff. Hours later we renegotiated the price down to $9000 plus deposit. But once they left, the owner, Lior or "Leo", tried to jack the price up to $11,700 or said they'd hide our stuff in storage in Arizona and send us the key once we paid in full.
Finally got our stuff delivered by another mover. Stuff was damaged but we couldn't collect because Discover Moving marked EVERYTHING as damaged on the original inventory sheet.
If you want to use this company, at least google "Discover Moving" and see some of the other reviews. Or go to the Movingscam website and read how the owner of Dicover Moving ran Highway Moving before closing up shop and reopening as Discover Moving. The outfit is well known to state and federal authorities. I wish we had done more research before we got scammed by this company. |
